My dad, Steve Williams, started making things from leather in 1973 and opened Backstreet Leather in 1975. Backstreet Leather brought my parents together, put my Dad through law school and enabled me to buy my own horse at 12. I feel really lucky to have inherited this old trade and craft from my parents.

Now, I make handmade leather travel journals filled with waterproof Rite in the Rain paper. They look like old word, hand bound journals, but they'll survive a dunk in the sea and an unexpected rainstorm that would turn regular journals into a soggy mess.
